In Loving Memory, Wendy Clesi
“Don’t worry, tomorrow is another day.”

We are deeply saddened by the loss of a cherished member of our Enjoin family, Wendy Clesi. She touched the hearts of many and will forever be in our thoughts and prayers.

On June 1, 2019, Wendy Clesi, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, colleague and mentor, lost her battle with cancer.

In 2013, Wendy Clesi, RN, CCDS, CDIP joined Huff DRG Review Services, now Enjoin, as Executive Director of CDI Services. Wendy, a locally and nationally recognized leader, was instrumental in establishing CDI excellence and best practice. Wendy’s legacy will remain as a professional servant dedicated to collaboration and utmost partnership, lending to individual successes. Her devotion to lifelong learning and her exemplified passion and empowering leadership guaranteed a memorable and positive experience with whom she touched.

Prior to her work within CDI for 14 years, Wendy had over 23 years of acute care nursing experience. She began her career as a critical care nurse which lead to administrative oversight for a multi-site dialysis provider. Her journey to documentation integrity began as the Director of Documentation Excellence at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans. With the success of the CDI program, she was awarded the Department of the Year Award.

Committed to advancement of documentation integrity, Wendy served as a member of the ACDIS Advisory Board for the 2014-2017 term and as an Adjunct Instructor for the AHIMA CDI Academies. Wendy was also the recipient of the 2009 ACDIS Award for Recognition for Professional Achievement.

Beyond leading the course for CDI advancement, Wendy instilled compassion, devotion, strength, humor, and values within her family. Wendy lifted up many, but never sought to be in the spotlight. Wendy represented the person we all want to become.

Wendy is loved by all, and she will be missed greatly, especially by her family. The CDI community has lost an unsung hero.
