As Executive Director, Consulting Services and Education, Jennifer is responsible for the management of the CDI service line/business unit. This role includes working with executive leadership to ensure excellence with client engagement delivery including project management, client education and training, medical record documentation analysis, program assessment and gap analysis, reporting and ongoing client support.
Jennifer is an expert in the arena of direct involvement in overall client interaction and satisfaction. This success stems from extensive interactions in all phases of CDI engagements to assist clients in developing a successful and sustainable CDI program across the continuum. Her strength is in demonstrated knowledge and understanding of clinical documentation improvement industry best practices, the impact of CDI on revenue cycle outcomes and documentation/coding impact on profiling and quality outcomes and population health.
In her previous role, Jennifer led efforts related to clients’ CDI Program Implementation and management including development of program metrics, analysis of program outcomes, providing CDI training seminars and CDS shadowing/tutoring. She continues to work collaboratively with the Enjoin physician team to ensure an effective and consistent process for clinical documentation and physician education for clients.
Ms. Eaton played an integral role in the development and maintenance of CDocT, a web-based quality resource tool which includes development of CDI training materials and references. With her oversight and leadership, she has assisted many healthcare organizations in establishing a CDI operational model of success and is passionate in her work with clients to establish innovative paths to lead CDI programs to a greater growth of scope, program success, and sustainability.
Jennifer received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Loyola University and has over 15 years of acute care nursing experience, with over 10 years of CDI experience. Jennifer is an active member of ACDIS (Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists) and has been a speaker at industry meetings.
