Dr. Golden is the Chief Clinical Officer for Enjoin. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease and has maintained a certification in Critical Care Medicine for ten years. His years of clinical practice experience and recognition as an outstanding clinician, researcher, physician leader and educator complement Enjoin’s prestigious and nationally recognized physician team. As a physician providing direct patient care during the pandemic, he has become the clinical and documentation expert providing guidance on several areas related to Covid-19.
Dr. Golden has had an extensive career maintaining a clinical practice for over 33 years in Memphis, TN. He has held several leadership positions including President of the Medical Staff at The Restorative Care Hospital, President of Memphis Lung Physicians Foundation, Board Member of the Baptist Medical Group, and Medical Director of the Intensive Care Units at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Most recently, he was President of Memphis Lung Physicians Foundation for four years.
Dr. Golden has held several University Appointments at the University of Tennessee including Instructor in Medicine, Assistant Professor of Medicine, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. For the past 17 years, he has been and continues to be an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Golden has lectured at several national and international meetings and has been a recipient of numerous awards including the Tennessee Hospital Association Meritorious Service Award, the Memphis Business Journal Health Care Heroes Award, and was voted a Top Doctor in 2014 and 2015 for Memphis Magazine. He has also contributed to numerous publications regarding Respiratory Disease, and other pulmonary issues.
His interest and experience in improving outcomes for patients in the Intensive Units through team-based care and evidence-based practice provides valuable insight and education for our clients’ coders, nurses, and physicians resulting in the highest level of quality and integrity of their healthcare data.
